Kristen Bowlin
Kristen Bowlin grew up expressing herself through her art work. She studied painting and drawing at the Kansas City Art Institute when she was compelled to ‘eco-fy’ & to diversify her mode of expression! She then studied Sustainable Agriculture at Central Carolina Community College in North Carolina, where she also worked as intern on small sustainable farms and as Garden Manager/Teacher on an educational farm in Chapel Hill. From there she traveled (some in a bio diesel VW bus! ) to experience various farms. She worked for a non-profit in Vermont connecting schools with Local farmers/local food & helped in starting over 10 school gardens. After farming in states such as North Carolina, Vermont, Missouri, & California- after milking goats & making goat cheese, planting fruit trees, nurturing both vegetables and the minds and characters of children all over- New Jersey is lucky to have her! Together with her draft horse and Kyle with his, they will be plowing up Totten Family Farm’s fields for seasons to come!
